Technology update: Real-world fiber alignment breakthrough

Technology update.


A few weeks ago, we demonstrated how our alignment algorithm performs on simulation. Now we have applied it to our micro actuator to perform a real case fiber-to-fiber alignment.

The progression of dots in the video shows the transmitted power during the active alignment routine for one fiber. The experiment is repeated four times with different initial misalignments (from nanometers to a few micron distances).
