Can you share who you are and what you do at MicroAlign?

I am a mechanical engineer. I came to MicroAlign to complete my final-year master’s internship in the same field.

What problem are you actually solving day-to-day, and why does it matter?

One of my main tasks is to design and manufacture parts for a variety of projects. I do it because not everyone has the knowledge of how to do it. It matters because it can enable certain experiments to be done in a relatively short amount of time and with a quick feedback loop if adjustments are needed.

What surprised you most about working here after you joined?

What surprised me the most is how close to your stereotypical startup MicroAlign functions. You have to be all hands-on deck, adapt quickly, and have a variety of technical skills because you carry out projects that cover a lot of technical fields at the same time.

What excites you most about being part of MicroAlign?

What excites me the most is that I am working in a very experimental environment and in a very new technological field that is quantum computing.

What would you say to someone considering joining MicroAlign?

In my opinion, the type of person who would fit into this environment is someone who is interested in a wide range of technical fields and who is not overly academic because it is preferred to experiment and capitalize on the results, even step by step, rather than trying to predict everything.
