Ultra-Low-Loss Fiber Arrays

MicroAlign provides the only fiber arrays in the world manufactured with actively aligned cores. Our fiber arrays are engineered to achieve ultra-low-loss fiber-to-chip coupling in photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for applications such as quantum computing, sensing, and optical networks.

Fiber array core position accuracy:

  • Residual misalignment  < 100 nm (standard deviation)
  • Independent on the number of channels

  • Theoretical misalignment loss* < 10 mdB for all the fibers
  • Ehanced power uniformity for all fiber array channels 

*Assuming SMF28-to-SMF28 fiber coupling, ideal mode-field matching, and 1310 nm operation wavelength
